Electrical Engineer, Research & Development Drill Rigs Underground Division Epiroc

You will get the opportunity to work with advanced mobile machines, electric drivetrains and new challenges for more sophisticated control systems and a higher degree of automated solutions.
Your mission
We are now looking for engineers with extensive knowledge of electrical and Software based systems.
The work involves responsibility to develop, implement and adapt our electrical systems in terms of hardware, system architecture and functionality to fulfill future requirements regarding e.g. performance, availability and safety. The level of technology is high and we use real-time control system software (RCS) to control our Boom arms and drills. Mostly you will work in project form with new development projects, product maintenance, base development and customer orders. You will have close contact with other departments in Örebro, for example service, purchasing and marketing, as well as contacts with customers and suppliers around the world.
To create solutions based on functional requirements, specify and develop components in collaboration with sub suppliers and verifying the performance on the final product will also be a key part of your work.
Skills and knowledge
You have a university degree in relevant area or other highly qualified engineering background.
We believe you have some years of professional experience within electrical- and/or control systems or other highly qualified engineering background. You are used to bring ideas from an initial concept to serial production, creating technical documentation and verifying technical solutions.
To enjoy the work you are self-propelled, responsible and your work is effectively planned to meet deadlines. You have a structured and analytical approach, enjoy to combine theory and practice and you like working with details and getting the job done to our customers’ satisfaction. Furthermore, you have good interpersonal skills, enjoy teamwork and a collaborative environment where communication is key. Since your work includes many local and global contacts it is required that your Swedish and English skills (verbal and written) are fluent.
You have good knowledge of mobile electrical systems, control systems and systems architectures. Knowledge of software electrical systems and low voltage systems as well as experience of cad design tools and PLM systems are meritorious.
