Electrical Interface Engineer - Generic Scan tool requirements GM Powertrain is in the frontline when it comes to development of turbo engines and manual gearboxes.The introduction of BioPower is the latest prominent example of innovative technology that has received at lot of attention.We are part of GM Powertrain, a concern with activity in 17 countries and has over 59 000 employees.GM Powertrain Sweden are today working with around 800 employees stated at three sites in Sweden: engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg Work Assignment: As Electrical Interface Engineer for Generic Scan tool requirements you will be responsible for diagnostic communication requirements, development and release of specifications (mainly in the field of ISO15031-5/SAE J1979).Development of requirements is performed in cooperation with regional serial communication experts and global experts on legislation and emission regulations.You will have lead responsibility for the European market.In your assignment, you will have detailed technical discussions with suppliers and you will also function as an expert in the field for the rest of the internal Powertrain organization in Europe.The work is international and is performed in cooperation with colleagues in Germany and USA and can include international in business travels.Qualifications You have a Masters or Bachelor Engineering degree or similar skills through previous work assignments.Knowledge of service and manufacturing work and procedures is qualifying. It is important that you are good at communicating in written and spoken English.You are also a structured, result oriented and creative person who likes to work within a project team but also capable of taking independent decisions.It is important that you are aware of the cultural differences in your work with engineers from other countries. As a person you need to be "service minded", careful and take responsibility for our customer's requirements.As quality and delivery precision are key factors in a successful result you need to be strongly engaged in the development work.
