Polytech: Polytech is a Swedish high-tech company and the core business is to design, develop and manufacture gyro stabilized airborne platforms. These platforms are intended to be installed under helicopters and aircraft and pilot less drones (UAV's). These platforms carry various sensors such as still cameras, video cameras, infrared cameras, laser range finders and infrared measurement systems that can be used for observation and monitoring in a range of remote sensing imagery, and surveillance applications. The customer base is international with contracts in more than 50 countries. Job Title: Electronics Engineer Location: Eskilstuna, Sweden Key Accountabilities: The key accountability for the Electronics Engineer will be the design of the electronics in the stabilization and control system. He or she will also: . be responsible for developing the stabilization and control system to lower weight, more compact design and to higher stabilization accuracy . implement new design tools . control the subcontract tasks issued to our electronic suppliers and to test new advanced concepts in electronic and image processing . synchronize the R&D projects between PolyTech and our control engineering system consultant . define the capital and time investment required for the R&D projects Short term tasks: . Learn how the existing concepts operates, compile available documentations . Define and document the existing control system to its design and functionality . Assist in developing the tools and resources for the development of the platform Long term tasks: . Develop the product to the next level of control accuracy . Reduce weight and size . Design the product to comply with all aspects of DO160E and some additional MIL standards . Standardize the product into families and with a modular concept for the variations Qualifications: . A minimum of 5 years of related experience . Experience from the design and/or development of advanced electronics is required. . Experience from control system engineering from areas such as stabilization, process control, and industrial robots or manufacturing machines is regarded as a merit. . Experience from the aeronautical industry is regarded as a merit but is not a requirement. Personality: . Excellent communications skills in Swedish and English are required. . A strong driving force . Since the Engineering team is a small team, the skills and ability to perform in both theoretical and practical aspects of research, development, design, procurement and project management is required. . Well structured and good in setting priorities . Likes and manage working in complex and demanding environments . Non Prestigious Education: Masters degree in electronics engineering with background in aeronautical avionics or electronics engineering is preferable. Language: Fluent in English and Swedish
