Volvo 3P is a Business Unit within the Volvo Group, which provides effective global solutions in the areas of product planning, purchasing, product development and Product Range Management for the four truck companies; Mack Trucks Inc, Nissan Diesel, Renault Trucks and Volvo Truck Corporation.Volvo 3P plays a vital role in contributing to the profitability of the four truck companies by providing competitive brand unique products that are based on common architecture and shared technology and by leveraging the combined size of the truck companies.Volvo 3P supports the Volvo Group's vision to be valued as the world's leading provider of commercial transport solutions.Position Description Electrical and Electronics Components is a group within Global Electrical Engineering.The group is divided into five different competence areas: power management, HMI, connectors, vehicle controls and electronics hardware.The group is responsible for developing and specifying parts like alternators, batteries, electronics hardware, switches, stalks, sensors, connectors etc. We are now seeking for a: Electronics HW Engineer for group 26323- Electrical and Electronic Components, Electrical Engineering. Tasks and Responsibilities: .As an Electronics HW Engineer you will have the global component ownership for various control units .The work is done in very close cooperation with the global network within electrical & electronics engineering, as well as other departments such as engine development, chassis development, purchasing, and production and test laboratories. As an Electronics HW Engineer, you will be the key competence within various vehicle projects when it comes to the development of the next generation electrical systems in Heavy Duty trucks, mainly Renault and Volvo, but with a global vision for Mack and Nissan Diesel. The role includes supplier management, daily global contacts around Volvo 3P s different development sites and responsibility for technical and test requirements as well as low level of functional requirement specifications and to participate in or lead FMEA/P-FMEA/D-FMEA. Sc.Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience .Very good knowledge in written and spoken English is mandatory The position will be located in Gothenburg.Some travel expected.
