embedded developer to teenage engineering

teenage engineering develop highly acclaimed products for people who love sound, music and design. we are now looking for an embedded linux system engineer to join our team in stockholm.

who are you?

you are an electronics engineer or software developer specialized in embedded hardware and/or embedded linux who would enjoy using your skills to create products for teenage engineering. as a person you are comfortable with your knowledge and experience within the area, as well as curious and eager to develop yourself and learn new things.

role and responsibilities

develop RTOS board support packages, device drivers and application logic

writing middleware, libraries and frameworks

work with realtime configurations and hardware peripherals to minimize latency and energy use

hands-on board bringup work, from getting the first LED to blink to verification of the full system

troubleshooting, diagnosing functional and performance problems

testing out new parts, peripherals or 3rd party libraries

using CI tools for build, formal verification and test.

upstreaming drivers, modules, and patches to open source projects such as Zephyr

you will be part of the platform team and report to head of platforms. by platforms we mean the complete architecture of our hardware & BSP's/OS’es.

required skills

university education within computer science or computer engineering

work experience within linux and embedded systems

teenage engineering was founded in 2007. our first product was the OP-1, a portable all-in-one synthesizer used by world famous artists, sound designers and dj's.

other products range from the OD-11, a high-end wireless stereo loudspeaker, the ultra portable and ultra low cost pocket operators, the new op-z, multimedia synthesizer and sequencer workhorse.

our hq is located in stockholm, sweden. here a multidisciplinary team of software / electrical / mechanical engineers and industrial / textile /lifestyle designers are developing our products from start to finish. the studio is fully equipped workshop with state of the art rapid prototyping machines.
