Embedded Software Application Engineer - Gothenburg

Job description
Randstad Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Engineer for a long-term consultant opportunity in the SW factory / Continuous Integration area. 

As a Software Engingeer within the automotive industry, you will work in the team responsible for the Powertrain Engineering SW Factory. You will be expected to specify, design, develop, verify and maintain our Software tool-chain and centralized software continuous integration infrastructure used by our Software Teams worldwide. You will also contribute to a world class Embedded software solutions enabling new capabilities in the clients in-house designed Basic SW (including actuators/sensors, diagnostic, scheduling, communication, injections and more).

Responsibilities
The client is working with autonomous agile teams with the target to develop the most efficient embedded software framework.

You will be part of a team that builds and maintains the CI/CD platform. You will be involved with stakeholders to realize layouts and work closely with the backend to visualize pipelines, metrics, stats and dashboards 

Main activities are:
Develop and maintain Jenkins/Bitbucket based SW Factory
Develop and maintain SW Integration pipeline including building SW, running unit tests and Matlab simulations, running HW tests
Lead improvement work in SW Factory area  


Working hours
Full-time. (WFH during the pandemic is implemented – Certain days it will be required to be present at the local office)

Qualifications
Main competencies: 
Hands on experience on Continuous Integration and previous experience documented.
Knowledge in programming Python and scripting in Bash or similar.
Knowledge in Jenkins and Groovy.
Competences in embedded software architecture, design and verification 
The work requires skills in both teamwork and individual work, autonomy and ability to work in a team is key. 
Open-minded and pro-active, structured and a drive to take the lead is an advantage
Master degree or similar in Embedded Software development with interest and good knowledge in electronics. 
English skills

Desirable merits:
Advanced knowledge in Git
Knowledge in programming embedded real time systems in C
Previous Experience in Volvo Powertrain software development will be highly valued
