Embedded Software Engineer - Global Electronic Business Unit

Basic Job Functions:
We are currently seeking an individual to fill a software development position at the IQAN R&D department.The primary responsibilities for this position are development and maintenance of embedded software for the IQAN product line.All hardware platforms are developed using the latest technology from the automotive industry.Our products normally embrace the use of high-end microprocessors, graphical controllers and serial buses like CAN and USB.The position involves extensive collaboration with the hardware department.All software is written in C/C++ and in some cases assembler.Development in new products follows the IEC61508 standard.Additional activities will include anticipating and understanding customer's needs, competitive analysis, market trends, documentation as well as providing technical support.

What qualities do you need?
Required:
.University degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering
.Detailed knowledge and at least 3-5 years experience with embedded C/C++
.Strong in problem solving and embedded software debugging skills
.A general understanding of hardware design e.g.micro controllers and memory components
.Good social skills in communication, decision making and self-management
.Fluency in the English language

Desirable:
.An engineering background in the areas of mobile electronics for the automotive industry
.Familiar with the use of real-time operating systems
.Knowledge of development according to IEC61508
.Knowledge of CAN protocols like J1939 and CANopen
.Knowledge of CM tools, software analysis tools etc
