Embedded Software Engineer

CrossControl continues its journey towards being world leading in display and computer solutions for industrial vehicles. We have started development of a new product platform built on the latest ARM-technology and Linux, enabling advanced functions such as AI/ML and semi-autonomous vehicles. During pre-launch we have already gotten a positive response and commitment from several new and existing customers. Despite current uncertain times, we are investing for the future and looking for new software talent in order to accelerate our product development.
As an Embedded Software Engineer, we offer you a challenging position at the core of our business. You will work in projects together with colleagues from other disciplines such as hardware, platform software, application software, and production. In addition to software development, your tasks will include also requirements engineering, test and verification, and documentation tasks.
For competence and qualifications, we are looking for:
Academic degree and working experience within the fields of embedded systems or computer science, with focus on Linux, ARM, and x86-based systems
Solid competence within embedded Linux (bootloader, kernel, drivers, and libraries), with knowledge of Yocto Project
Effective communication skills, fluent in English both in speech and writing

Additionally, it is beneficial if you have experience with:
Communication buses such as I2C, SPI, CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet
Requirements management and test automation tools
Data security and functional safety
Product development processes involving test driven development and agile development

Location: CrossControl in Tampere (Finland), Alfta (Sweden), or Uppsala (Sweden).
