Job Description
We are looking for an Embedded systems developer which responsibilities will be to prepare proposals for new product generations of portable inkjet printing and marking solutions, some of which must be developed for the high security domain.
You will define strategies for selection of technologies and subsequent execution of the most advanced technical solutions needed to address customer needs.
The sought Developer will support and integrate solutions across several technical domains including:
· Electrical Design and Architecture of new embedded systems for portable printing products (Analog, digital, RF, etc.)
· Documentation (Specification creation & review, Schematic capture, BOM generation and Product readiness review).
· BOM costing and optimization.
· Electrical testing/product evaluation (component, module, software, product) including creation and sign-off of product evaluation reports.
· Iteration between embedded system and backend system
· Integration of Secure Elements in embedded systems
· Build and debug hardware modules.
· Co-ordinate with layout engineer for routing, placement.
· Layout and Gerber Reviews.
· Co-ordinate with suppliers for components and board assembly.
· Support software/firmware development. Embedded microcontroller firmware experience is a must.
· Development of in-house and factory test equipment.
· EMI/EMC certifications for product
· Knowledge of cryptographic protocols. Bootloader protection. Signature of firmware versions.
· Experience in designing hardware for Consumer and Industrial Systems.
The candidate is required to interact with and serve as a key resource in solving problems of high complexity and for high security to other analysts and fellow engineers.
The candidate is also required to consult with clients on issues and requests that require the implementation or creation of a custom solution.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Master of Sciences or Ph.D degree in the field of Electronics and/or Computer Sciences
· 10+ years of experience in embedded systems electrical design and architecture.
· Debugging skills at hardware, firmware, software and system level to identify root causes.
· Technical documentation and technical marketing.
· Knowledge and experience on Agile development
· Hands-on experience developing security solutions for embedded systems including encryption, cryptography, scrambling, concatenation, etc.
· Team Management and team building.
· Preparing technical proposals and PPT presentations
· Software Development on Device drivers, Kernel module, Middleware, Applications of android, Linux, iOS.
· Software coding on hardware bring up activity, porting of Linux, Android, RTOs.
This position is available for full-time employment. Candidates must be eligible to work in Austria.
