In this context, the Industry & Value Advisory team in EMEA-North is here to engage strategically with customers and collaborate with them to define the right transformation roadmap supported by a strong business case (“Vision to Value” engagements). As part of the EMEA-North Industry & Value Advisory, the Regional Industry team is responsible for supporting and developing SAP industry businesses across the Region.
Job Description and Expectations:
The geographical scope of intervention for the job is EMEA-North Market Units (MUs), namely UK&I, France, Netherlands, Nordics countries, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Regional Industry team is made of Regional Industry Leaders (RILs) who, in each respective industries, develop and execute industry go-to-market strategies. They engage and nurture Regional internal communities (in close relationship with our Global Industry team and constantly sharing with other Regions), as well as Customers and Partner industry ecosystems in the Region. They also support strategic sales cycles in their industries.
The result is increased demand for SAP solutions, high stake Sales opportunities secured and ultimately elevated SAP’s leadership position in each industry in our Region.
To complete our team of RILs, we are looking for the Regional Industry Leader in either Oil & Gas/Chemicals or Utilities.
RILs Responsibilities include:
Structure and execute industry GTM with coherent plan, plays & customer engagement.
Drive market awareness of SAP’s industry proposition
Develop and nurture 3 industry ecosystems through communities, enablement and sharing activities, thought leadership development, and evangelising activities


Qualifications:
In this role we will be looking at 4 areas of qualifications:

Industry knowledge, experience, and relevance
End-to-end business process understanding
Knowledge of SAP and our customers

Experience:
Industry Experience
Professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations or IT function of Ecosystem organizations
Knowledge and experience with a demonstrated expertise in the Energy and Natural Resources industries, with a deeper expertise in either O&G or Utilities
Deep understanding of industry trends in Europe, and/or ideally multiple years prior relevant industry/ partner experience.
Understanding of innovation trends and new business models in ENR (circular economy, transition to integrated Energy companies, outcome-based…
Additional experience in other Regions of the world (MENA, Asia) would be a plus.

SAP Solution Experience
Professional experience with SAP Solutions supporting ENR (e.g. IS-Oil, IS-U etc…)
Deep understanding of SAP value proposition in Industry 4.0, Customer / Consumer Centricity, Supply Chain, New Product Innovation…
Ability to define key Ecosystem industry programs for business development, through high priority and high value creating sales plays
Digital Transformation and Innovation Experience: Understanding of the Innovation process and agenda at complex customers and proven ability to create industry focused innovation value propositions.
Go-To-Market (GTM) / Business Development Experience: Professional experience with GTM planning and execution (e.g. demand generation, demand management, sales enablement, eco system management, customer success) resulting in pipeline and revenue growth
Thought Leadership: Viewed as an expert across SAP within an Industry, capable of leveraging an extensive Industry client network, leveraging SAP Global IBU/Solution resources and externally on behalf of SAP with media/research companies (e.g. IDC, BCG, Gartner, and so on), and building C-Level customer relationship.

Education
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required
MBA or Master’s degree (associated with Ecosystem industry) from accredited university preferred. MBA or equivalent degree required from a top University.
Language - Fluency in English. Fluency in any other language would be an asset.
