As a end-of-line test engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of battery packs and modules before they reach the next department. As an integral part of the production process, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous final tests and assisting in delivering high-quality products that drive the future of electric mobility.
Main responsibilities:
Test planning:
Collaborate with the R&D team to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for final testing.
Define and procure the necessary testing equipment, measurement instruments, and data collection systems according to the company's investment process.

Test execution:
Perform rigorous final tests on battery packs and modules following established test plans and procedures.
Conduct functional, performance, and safety tests to assess electrical properties, charging and discharging capability, temperature tolerance, voltage regulation, and overall reliability.

Troubleshooting and issue resolution:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and technicians, to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or faults that arise during testing.

Quality assurance:
Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
Collaborate with the quality team and R&D to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Documentation and reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of test procedures, results, and any changes made in the testing process.
Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing test results and communicate them effectively to relevant stakeholders.

Data analysis:
Collect and analyze test data using various tools and software systems.
Evaluate the results against defined specifications and standards to identify deviations and generate comprehensive test reports with clear findings and recommendations.

Continuous learning:
Stay at the forefront by constantly expanding your knowledge of battery modules and packs.
Follow the latest industry trends, advancements, and new technologies related to vehicle batteries and testing methods.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.

Qualifications
Education:
Master of Science in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering or a related field.

Experience:
Basic understanding of battery technology and electrical systems.
Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electrical testing instruments for troubleshooting.
Experience in industrial engineering.
Experience with CAN communication (e.g., INCA, CANalyzer) is an advantage.
Exposure to PLCs and HMIs is a plus. Likewise, exposure to CATIA.
Ability to review electrical schematics.

Personal qualities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work meticulously.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting test results.
Knowledge of quality control processes and continuous improvement methods.
Strong proficiency in English. Meritorious with knowledge in Swedish.
