Scania Engines is a product area, with responsibility to develop and market Scania Engines for a broad range of industrial and marine applications. The business is managed as a “Company within the company”, based on synergies, with a clear profitability target above the general Scania target.

At Technical Development we are responsible for the development and adaptation of the Truck engines for industrial and marine applications for the complete product lifecycle. The shift towards sustainable and electrified solutions is evident also in the Engines business and we are committed to contribute to that future.

In the team, Performance and testing, we work with calibrate and adapt our engines optimal with focus on performance, fuel consumption, emission fulfilment and aftertreatment system. These different part is then balanced to fit into a wide spectre of customer demands and to contribute to Scania sustainable targets and reduce our climate impact.

Your role
As calibration engineer you will get an unique opportunity to apply and develop your understanding and knowledge of the engine, the aftertreatment system, control system and hardware. You will work in a dedicated team with both engineers, sales and aftermarket support in close contact with the end customer.

You will mainly work with Scania´s own engine control system, focusing on base engine calibration. Your work will mainly consist of calibration to minimise fuel consumption whilst fulfilling emissions targets, analysis of data results and product support for the sales and aftermarket organization. The calibration is carried out mainly in our own engine test cells, but also in vehicles and special rigs. Work on customer machines is also possible.

Your profile
In order to be successful as an engine calibrator you should be motivated, be willing to take initiative and have good communication skills. You are enthusiastic and willing to learn, actively seeking the information that is needed to perform the work. We work with high expectations from our customers which demands a combination of structure and  flexibility in your work. 

You are fluent in English and Swedish, have a technical degree or have acquired the corresponding competence through work experience. Experience in engine calibration for diesel engines is advantageous.
