Engine Design Responsible

Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. The turnover for 2007 reached SEK 53 billion. The number of employees is app. 16,000. Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division has the responsibility for development and manufacturing of driveline components to Volvo's construction equipment. Development of electronic systems is also a part of the responsibility. Component Division has app. 1 250 employees. The business is located to Eskilstuna, but manufacturing is also performed in co-operation with other companies in different places. The engine development department is the core centre within Volvo CE for engines and auxiliary systems. The main work areas are mechanical engine design, performance/application development and mechanical auxiliary system design. Today we develop engine systems for wheel loaders, articulated haulers, excavators, graders and road machinery. We are now recruiting an engine design responsible for the heavy engine platform. As responsible for mechanical design you will work with engine adaptation to achieve optimal engine performance for the Volvo CE products. The development work is done in close co-operation with Volvo Powertrain. You will work in project form and will be responsible for development of mechanical design, quality and verification specifications Volvo CE parts.
