COMPANY PRESENTATION Division Car Accessories Europe/Asia is the largest division within the Thule Group, the world s leading supplier of load carriers for cars.The Division manufactures and sells roof racks, roof boxes, bike carriers and accessories under the premium brand Thule.The Division, based in Hillerstorp, Sweden, has six production facilities in Europe and Asia.The Group also offers snow chains, trailers and accessories for motor homes/caravans under the brands König, Brenderup, Thule Rental and Omnistor.Sales amount to about SEK 5,2 billion.The company is based in Malmö, Sweden.Majority owner is the UK-based, private equity company Candover.PRESENTATION OF THE JOB Role Description Responsible for carrying out engineering analysis for product development project, utilizing structural and CFD analysis tools. Be proactive in working within the development projects to carry out actual validation tests. Work closely with colleagues in the Simulations and Vaildations team and with development engineers and project managers in the various development projects. Key Deliverables Increased and improved utilization of simulations in our development work. Innovative simulation solutions. Well structured, run and documented validation tests. Key Challenges To quickly grasp the regulatory and customer demands of Thules products. To take an overall product design view in assisting the design engineers on how they can improve their designs, not only to carry out tests. Profile Master of Science in mechanical engineering or similar. Experience of analysis tools such as Ansys and Ls-Dyna. Work experience considered an advantage. Practical hands-on work in prototyping considered an advantage. Reporting Structure You will be a member of the Simulations and Validations Team, reporting to the Manager (Fredrik Larsson).
