Engineering Manager

The future for the travel industry in general, and 2023 in particular, is good. At Paxport we provide top-notch booking systems and services for the airline industry, and we are now hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and develop our growing team. You'll drive quality and continuous improvement while managing recruiting, onboarding, and coaching.


You will
Coach and serve the team members
Manage, train, and recruit members of the development team.
Drive continuous improvement in architecture
Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with other team leaders and departments
Maintain a high level of expertise in relevant technologies, for you and for the team members





We are looking for
BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience in applying agile ideas and methods to software development projects
Experience in architecting real-world non-trivial web applications and business systems
Pedagogical and outgoing personality
Experience in explaining and/or teaching technical skills to technical and non-technical coworkers and stakeholders





Experience in the following is meriting
Hands-on experience from the java ecosystem (like JEE, Spring Boot, and ORM-tools)
Hands-on experience with Typescript
Experience from managing and mentoring a team of engineers
Passion to learn new things and develop people
Experience in recruiting
Experience in the airline industry or working with booking systems
