Engineering manager - Access Control QA

Axis has one of the largest test departments in Sweden - it says something about our passion and commitment for quality! We now are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Access Control test team within the New Business organization in Lund.

Who is your future team?
As Engineering Manager for Access Control QA you will work with quality assurance of Access Control products and solutions. You will lead a highly skilled and motivated team, and you will be able to set the strategic direction for it.

The team provides testing expertise with focus on software, providing the high level of quality expected by the market. This includes all aspects of quality assurance, including functional and non-functional testing as well as a joint responsibility for the development processes. You will be working together with experienced R&D managers that will inspire you and support you in your personal development.

What you'll be doing here as an Engineering Manager
As the manager for the Access Control QA team you will be part of the management teams for New Business Access Control R&D as well as for New Business QA.

Your main tasks will be to:

* Lead the team and individuals in their daily activities and make sure we get the most out of everyone and that they get the support they need.
* Run the day-to-day operations making sure that we have the right strategy, competence, test processes and tools.
* Develop your team and its members to meet the needs of the company in balance with the needs of every individual.
* Work together with other line managers, project managers and product owners with project planning for new products and technologies.
* Support and cooperate with customers and partners.
* Perform standard management tasks like salary setting, budgeting and recruitments.

You will report to the director of New Business QA.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

* At least a few years' experience in technical leading roles. You have a proven successful track record in leading and developing people and coaching them to reach their full potential.
* You are seen as positive and empathic listener with the ability to act when needed.
* You are passionate about testing and quality and have relevant test experiences from former assignments.
* You are fluent in English and Swedish.
