The team is growing and we need to reinforce with a new manager
As Engineering Manager in the ASIC department you will be leading a highly skilled and experienced team of about 15 to 20 colleagues, still growing. Each team has its own responsibilities, but we are also cooperating very much between the ASIC teams and with other teams at AXIS.

You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:

* Manage and develop a team of project managers and engineers
* Planning, budgeting, resource allocation, day-to-day operations
* Lead organizational and process development
* Overall responsibility for project portfolio

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven leader who is passionate about both ASIC development and leadership and can create a stimulating and creative working environment.
Your educational background includes a master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other relevant area. We believe that you have experience of leading ASIC design and or verification teams from specification to implementation. Experience of working with 3rd party IPs is meriting. You are an ambitious and initiative taking person that has good leadership skills with the ability to motivate the people around you.

The ASIC Department
The department is responsible for ASIC design of the ARTPEC™ (AXIS RealTime Picture Encoder). ARTPEC™ are the Application Processors for AXIS products. We are responsible for system, synthesis, design, verification, technology evaluation, low power design, floorplan, selection of ASIC and IP partners.

We have a long history of designing ASICs, the first ASIC was developed in the late 80s. We have developed a highly sophisticated ASIC development environment which is in many ways leading edge in the world. We file patents and publish papers and get invitations to present them at EDA and other conferences.

We are in the forefront of technology nodes and stretching performance and power requirements in our designs.
