What is the amazing opportunity?
As an Engineering Manager you will be delivering value to customers and co-workers through our logistic products in the ‘Inventory & Logistics’ domain, you will have the exciting challenge to:
● Build and run the technology that underpins our global business
● Create a new IKEA, by building the capability to dynamically shift fulfilment across all our locations, buildings, transport and partners
● Unlocking our plans to:
o Build new engaging city store formats providing convenience to our customers.
o Contribute to our sustainability goals
o Simplify and automate goods flows on a global scale to meet our cost-conscious objectives
● Transform the current IT landscape into a modern technology stack
● Manage one or several teams working within capability area Customer Picking Service and collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders at our global digital development hubs.
● Create world class Customer Picking Service IT products which include the capabilities of pick order preparation, perform pick, check & pack and order dispatch.
● Secure efficient integrations which are crucial for Customer Picking Service in a complex IT landscape.
● Take an end-to-end responsibility from design to support of IT products in cross functional engineering teams.
● An engineering team already exists today. When required, be part of recruiting and building your engineering teams.

About the Customer Picking Service product and engineering team
Customer Picking Service is supporting our IKEA stores to pick, pack and hand out of customer orders. Either at the store or through home delivery. We are currently on a journey of moving the product into a cloud native solution using Java Spring Boot and React as a base. As an engineering manager you will be a core part of this inspiring journey and in a true agile environment.
