Engineering Support Manager

Novozymes Biopharma Sweden AB is a subsidiary of Novozymes A/S.We support Novozymes biopharmaceutical activities with manufacturing services of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient).The services are offered to Novozymes internal project and towards the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industry.Furthermore, the company is engaged in process and analytical development for our clients.The company is compliant with GMP since 1994.Currently our staff consists of 100 employees, hereof we have five engaged specialists working in Engineering Support.Our area of expertise covers equipment, qualification and automation.The main responsibility for Engineering Support is assistance to the running production and execution of investment projects covering, design, installation, qualification and automation of process equipment.Engineering Support (ES) works closely together with the Process Development, Manufacturing and Maintenance on supporting running production and implementation of new products. Challenges In this position you will lead and develop a group specialists working in a dynamic environment with technical complex topics and tight deadlines.The function is newly established and you will have a chance to influence the routines in the group with focus on ensuring the right balance between support to running manufacturing and execution capital projects.Planning, prioritization and follow-up will be a key to succeeding in the new function.Besides from managing internal resources you will be responsible for managing external engineering resources in connection with capital project Qualifications You have a relevant education within Mechanical Engineering and a University Degree and at least 5 years of experience from execution of significant technical projects and preferable with experience from the biotech/ pharma industry and a good understanding of hygienic design.You must possess a lot of personal drive with a "hands on" and structured problem solving approach.In addition you must have good communication and collaborations skills.You have strong people management skills with focus on coaching and developing your employees.Since we operate in an international environment and in compliance with GMP you must be able to document and communicate in both Scandinavian languages and English.The employment is a permanent position starting as soon as possible.
