Volvo Cars IT further strengthen it's central Architecture group by seeking several Enterprise Architects. The Architecture function drives solution innovation and optimization through the research, strategy setting and architecturing of IT. The Architecture function also provides solution consulting and governance for IT projects, enabling aligned and timely solutions which are cost effective.

Job Description:

The Enterprise Architects will work in a small group of highly skilled team members that together will act as our stewards for the simplification, reusability and alignment in our IT solutions. The work includes collaboration with Ford and our sister brands organisations to ensure regional and cross brand consistency. The work will mainly consist of project related work in the role as Solution Architect and or guidance in areas like J2EE, SOA, Information modelling etc.

The tasks for the Enterprise Architect includes the following:

Solution Architecture (designing and consultancy).
Technology champion within VCC in specific areas, e.g. Integration,
application development, new technology etc.
Drive commonality of applications Ford/VCC.
Information modeling.
Work with the Enterprise or practice level of system landscape.

Qualifications:

Ability to transform business requirements into IT solution specifications.
Deep knowledge in application design (preferably J2EE) or information modeling.
Ability to identify opportunities to leverage existing IT components to drive commonality.
6+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT with at least 4 years in specific area.
Middleware knowledge
MQ, VCOM, Web services and related standards, EDI
Proven design contribution to large-scale project(s).
Technical leadership skills required.
Business experience preferable (outside IT department).
University degree in business or IT/Technical is required.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.

The person must enjoy taking lead ship of questions and influence other organization units.
The central Architecture team is key for the success of driving the area of Architecture so the person seeking this job must be able to fit with he team and give and take from others.
