alaTEST is a fast-growing international start-up.Our mission is to objectively inform consumers about product quality by collecting, analysing and publishing product reviews and tests on the web.We have in a short time established international partnerships with a number of leading internet portals (e.g.PriceRunner, Shopping.com, Lycos) and are now looking to strengthen our technical team as we continue to improve our services.Database Developer We are looking for a person that will help to develop our technical platform and are therefore looking for an 'Database Developer'.The database is the foundation of our service and enables us to provide content to our partners.The position will work to further improve the overall process of gathering, structuring and presenting data on alaTEST.com and our partner sites.We work mainly with various Open Source solutions, e.g.Apache, MySQL and PHP.Our servers run Linux.You should be motivated by developing creative solutions with new technology and be comfortable in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.Through knowledge, commitment and creativity, you will help us maintain and further refine our database and technical platform.The work will include a lot of problem solving and performance tuning in SQL, Java and PHP.You will work in our technical team and communicate directly with our management team.We are looking for a person with documented experience of database administration and Java knowledge.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: . Have an academic degree or equivalent experience of database development.. Have a couple of years of experience of database development..Be a creative self starter that are used to taking own initiatives..Know SQL, C++, Java, PHP .
