Environmental Verification Engineer

The Hardware Quality Assurance group conducts environmental, electrical and EMC tests of components used in the trucks. The objective is to quality assure the components in the design phase to find problems early in the development and if needed find the root causes in quality issues. We also perform in-vehicle measurements to improve our requirements raised upon the components and we develop and improve test procedures and methods. Test needs analysis and test planning is an important part of our work and we work closely with many other parts of the truck companies to support them in the development activities. It is a very varying job and you will work with practically all parts of the truck. Job description: We are looking for an experienced engineer to take part in our hardware verification team. You have relevant experience from similar positions within the Automotive industry. Typical tasks to perform includes: - Develop an understanding for the trucks electrical system and the environment in which the components shall operate in - Review specifications, standards and legislations - Evaluate test needs within projects - Plan, prepare, execute and document environmental and electrical tests - Analyse test results and make recommendations - Actively participate in the work of developing new test methods and procedures - Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, risk analyses, etc. Qualification: - University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or recognised equivalent - Knowledge within electrical/electronics - Relevant experience from similar jobs as well as leadership experience is meriting - Fluent in written and spoken English. Skills in French or German is a bonus - Enthusiastic and service minded
