Under the supervision of the Senior Purchasing Project Manager / Purchasing Project Manager, is in charge to
Define and Deploy the procurement strategies and collaborate with internal stakeholders including Finance, Strategy, Construction, Engineering, Automation,
Build up and maintain business relationship with dedicated supplier(s), and identify and suggest new suppliers within his scope.
Manage the Request for Quotations (RFQs) process: from RFQs launch, vendor technical and commercial meetings, negotiation rounds, till vendor selection,
Evaluate suppliers’ capabilities and negotiate best possible Quality Cost Delivery, contractual conditions (General Terms and Conditions) with equipment suppliers to help achieve Best in Class competitiveness of Northvolt Programs, including localization in Europe,
Evaluate and recommend selection by Sourcing Council of suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability,
Follow up supplier execution plan, manage and negotiate the Change Orders necessary to meet the economic, lead-time, technical performance, capacity targets of the Northvolt programs,
Define/implement action plans and countermeasures to meet Northvolt programs milestones: risks assessment and mitigation plans, value engineering, design to cost approach …
Defends Northvolt brand and Northvolt corporate strategy with suppliers, including defining and enforcing specific sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.

Technical Scope:
CAPEX : Process Equipment, R&D and Test Equipment, Automation equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Spare Parts, Maintenance and Service of Equipment
Timeline Scope:
From Sourcing Plan, to Sourcing recommendation jointly made with Process Engineering to Sourcing Council, and until Equipment or Product End of Life.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables include:
Under the supervision of the Senior Purchasing Project Manager / Purchasing Project Manager, manage, organize, direct CAPEX vendors selection & implementation and follow up.
Monitor and manage the equipment suppliers’ capacities, quality, economic objectives to achieve targets, with the support of Purchasing and Supplier Quality especially in case of quality or capacity issues;
Define and implement action plans, including the KPIs to follow up action plans progress
Interact and coordinate with internal stakeholders (Process Engineering, Cell Design, Automation, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance) to timely achieve joint agreements, joint commitments and shared goals.

Requirements
A degree in Engineering/Economics, MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree
Strong project management fundamentals with at least 4 to 6 years’ experience as Capex Project Buyer and/or Project Purchasing Manager in the purchasing function from construction or automotive industry, from chemical or Oil and Gas Industry.
Advanced negotiation and costing skills
Good team player, organized, committed and results driven
Autonomous and proactive

Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc)
English,
Multi-cultural environment exposure and other languages, is a plus
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
