ExJobb - Oracle JRockit[Oracle JRockit is a high performing Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which is developed in Sweden for use by global enterprises to run mission critical applications with demanding requirements for quality, manageability, high throughput, and low latency. A JVM is a comprehensive piece of technology which contains components from all branches of computer science. In our group it is possible to tackle real life problems in code generation, optimization, operating systems, automated memory management, realtime performance, heuristics and analysis, application development, automated testing and more. A few areas which are of special interest to us currently are: NUMA optimizations Data visualization Timing measurements of parallel code Automated chance-driven testing QUALIFICATIONS: Enrolled in a course which includes an Exjobb with heavy computer science content (Data, Engineering physics, Mathematics, civil or electrical engineering or the equivalent) Fluent in Swedish and English Specific ideas for an exjobb project or at least a clear idea of the area of research that will be pursued.
