Experienced groom rider wanted for lovely family in Oxfordshire.
Swedecare is an agency in London that provides work for young people from Sweden who wish to have overseas experience working with horses,dogs & carers/help for the disabled and elderly.We work with families throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally mainland Europe.
Driving, groom/horse care and rider
Laura 18, Jan-March in öCanada then back, October to University
Tom 16 at boarding school in Lower Sixth
Horses
Timmy 1 16.1hh grey gelding eventer hunter, does team chases etc perfect quiet hack
Timmy 2 16.1 chestnut gelding, Laura's show jumper, good hack but doesn't like heavy traffic so we avoid it!
Conker 3yr old chestnut filly that we have just broken and backed.She will come in again in February to begin her showing and eventing career with 4 yr old young sports horse classes.She was Champion Youngstock at her only in hand show as a 3 yr old so an exciting prospect.
Bubbles 14.1hh coloured mare SJ and events, will come in in February after an injury.
Winston 14.2hh black gelding events hunts and show jumps.
2 dogs, 2 geese, chickens,
Other duties other than the stables:Keeping the back passage tidy, where the laundry is done and boots and coats are stored and paper shredding done, hanging up laundry etc
no ironing
Kitchen, keeping it clean and tidy.
We have a twice weekly cleaner so not much house work
About once a month helping me for a couple of hours in the garden.
Stable duties: Exercising on own or with me or the children.Grooming, Cleaning Tack, Mucking out the stables when they are in(Winter only or night before a show) Pooh picking the fields,
Driver preferred of a manual car.
Non-smoker preferred but not essential, no smoking in stables or in house though!
