Experienced International Event Manager to Polestar Performance

Polestar is Volvo Cars’ performance company and brand. We develop and build products for the performance-minded customer. People, who like us, believe that driving matters and that it is an important part of life. Our knowledge of developing and building performance cars is based on over twenty years of experience of pushing Volvo cars to the limit on race tracks.


In short, all our performance products are developed, built and tested to deliver optimal driving experience. Polestar operates out of our head office in central Gothenburg, with sales in more than 63 markets. Together with Oddwork we are seeking an International Event Manager with several years of experience to join the Polestar Performance team in Gothenburg.

About the position International Event Manager at Polestar Performance
As International Event Manager you carry a vital role in Polestar Performances event team. You will create, lead, develop and implement Polestar Performance’s events in a global market. This means that you will be responsible for the entire project cycle and all the work that an event or project requires. You work in the operative phase of the event management which means that you will implement strategically planned events and projects from start to goal in markets around the world. You work towards high demands on the delivery of your events and projects and will carry out activities on all levels within the implementation processes.

Your responsible comprises events and projects that are in line with the sales- and press department plans of coming launches, global conferences and trainings. You will work closely with several departments at Polestar Performance to be able to create events aligned with Polestar Performances’ growth- and market strategies.

Your profile
You are an energetic, collaborative person who performs with an excellent mind for effective operational results. The role as International Event Manager requires you to be highly representative and professional in your approach simultaneously as you act like an unpretentiousness “doer”. Furthermore, you have a high level of business understanding and excellent social skills.

We value your experience of working in companies with a high level of entrepreneurial dedication and focus on actual market activities rather than activities from a perspective of strategy. Prior industry experience is positive but above all we value your enthusiasm for Polestar Performance. In addition, you see it as a privilege to work with building strong business relationships over time and constantly develop your own skills.

You… 


* have an academic education within event management and 3-5 years of prior experience of project management and event production

or 


* at least 8-10 years of solid prior experience of project management and event production which outweigh the absence of academic studies
* have the ambition to work with the operative parts of project management and event production
* are able to travel around the world when needed in the implementation of events and projects
