Experienced Purchaser

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik holds a world-leading position on the rock processing market, delivering cutting edge products and solutions to customers around the globe. To further accelerate the growth and focus on this area, we recently established the new business area Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP), consisting of the former Crushing and Screening division. A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.

At the Procurement department within division Stationary Crushing & Screening, we deliver first-class service through collaboration with our extensive global network of suppliers for our production unit in Svedala, as well as our central warehouse for spare parts in the Netherlands. To strengthen our open-minded and forward-thinking team, we’re now looking for a highly experienced and solution-oriented Operational Purchaser with strong communication skills to join us as we develop our business. This is an exciting opportunity to influence our strategy for the future, and we offer you international networks and great possibilities for self-development.

Your mission
In this position, you create a seamless flow for day to day business; ensuring that all purchasing activities in our area – equipment and aftermarket – are fully aligned with our overall strategy. An important part of your mission is to monitor deliveries, delayed orders, order changes, invoice control, quality issues and updates of master data to secure stable processes. You’re also responsible for leading weekly and monthly follow-up meetings with your suppliers, where you focus on optimizing our KPI’s regarding on time delivery, availability, lead times, forecast planning and buffer stock. Naturally, you also have a tight collaboration with our Sourcing team, who negotiate prices and agreements with our suppliers.

Using your excellent communication skills and ability to network, you establish and manage stable relationships and information flows with our suppliers. You also ensure a high level of collaboration with internal stakeholders – such as Planning, Production, Customer Service, R&D and Lifecycle - in order to reach our goals and grow together.

Other important parts are:
· Managing, monitoring and acting according to KPI’s and developing action plans to correct gaps and reach our target.
· Implementing and executing best procurement model depending on the supplier capabilities.
· Giving input and participating in updates and changes of our policies and principles.
· Leading and participating in purchasing projects and activities.

The location for this position is in Svedala.

Your character
We’re looking for a senior Purchaser with a bachelor´s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have five to ten years’ solid experience of operational purchasing and planning, and of managing short lead times and high volumes of different suppliers - preferably within the manufacturing industry. You’re used to reading mechanical drawings, and experience from Infor M3, SAP or another ERP system is advantageous. We act in an international environment which calls for fluency in English and Swedish, written and verbal. Other languages are an advantage

You’re open-minded and a true team player, although you don’t mind working independently. With your excellent communication skills and structured way of working, you establish and build strong networks and have the ability to see both the details and the big picture. Positivity is a cornerstone in your personality - you see possibilities instead of problems and with a great amount of energy you thrive in a changing environment!
