Field Researcher Sweden, Avesta and Solna

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Student/Postdoc/Researcher to join us and help out with our fieldwork in Avesta.
Molecular Attraction is a bio-attractant company. We develop and deliver effective, durable, maintenance-free and low-cost solutions to the control of vector-borne diseases such as Malaria, Dengue and Zika.
We are looking for a person that can help us during the summer. 2 days a week between 8:00-17:00. Starting May until mid-September 2025
The work is mostly conducted in the forest around Avesta and involves putting out and collecting mosquito traps in sometimes not easily accessible terrain like swamps etc. You will also be required to count mosquitoes and record field data as well as documentation such as pictures and short simple reports.
You need to drive up to Avesta and back 2 days a week.
What Will You Do?
Testing efficacy of novel, pesticide alternative mosquito control technology
Setting up monitoring traps in Avesta
Take down traps and take them back to our lab in Solna, Stockholm
Provide documentation
Engage in field research preperations
Prepare equipment and datasheets for field evaluations.
Record field data; enter data in the required computer format/database.
Maintain equipment.



Qualifications and requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record while employed with MA.
Must have organizational skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend map.
Must speak and understand Swedish and English

Your own car
Interest in mosquito research and vector borne diseases.
Work experience in a mosquito control lab setting, or mosquito surveillance and integrated control.
Master of Science degree in Entomology, Biology, Microbiology or in a related science field.
Knowledge of mosquito bionomics, operational, and applied entomology.
