Field Test Engineer Transmission

 

The Propulsion Controls module team consists of 4 different areas; Project, Hardware, Software and Calibration for the propulsion controls. Together, the module team develops the control function for transmission products utilized in present and future state-of-the-art gearbox solutions targeting a globalized customer base.



As a Field Test Engineer at Propulsion controls module team you will support our test fleet of different customers around the world. The work means that you should be multi-talented intellectual in the powertrain area. You will also work as a troubleshooter for the transmission. It may be traveling out to the customer in different parts of the world. For this service, you should be ready to go on short notice. You should be proactive and driven to succeed in this role.



Responsibilities and tasks

- Troubleshooting transmission
- Update the cars in the field with SW
- Analysis of measurements and results
- Prepare the cars with the measuring equipment and the maintenance of those?



Profile and Background

- BSc in engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience from troubleshooting in transmission and/or powertrain or similar
- Experience of measurement technology e.g. INCA, CANalyzer, and SDA
- Experience of vehicle communication e.g. CAN communication
- Driver’s licence B
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to travel
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
