FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - NORDICS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The Financial Accountant Nordics will coordinate all the US and local GAAP accounting, tax, reporting, processes (Sarbanes Oxley) and compliance activities.

- This also includes acting as primary contact with local operations and Financial Planning and Analysis team on
understanding current and future region performances.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Make sure all general ledger accounts are recorded according to company policy, within agreed monthly deadlines.
- Responsible for the year-end timely completion of the statutory books and tax returns for the local entities.
- Prepare fully understandable balance sheet reviews (BSR) for the local entities on a quarterly basis plus own all BSR issues resolution.
- Perform VAT and Intrastat reporting.
- Review large orders for revenue recognition.Test some Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls.
- Be the primary contact of external auditors.
- Own full responsibility of all financial aspects of the country, by cementing relationship with related AP, AR, Tax, Treasury and Customer Care country functions.
- Support the finance team for ad-hoc financial tasks.


EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- Preferably 3 years of accounting/audit experience in any of the Nordic countries.
- Fluency in English and at least one of the Nordic languages, preferably Finnish and Swedish.
- Other languages a plus.
- ERP experience, preferably SAP.
- Strong skills on MS Office.
- Highly motivated individual capable of a strong and quick implication on issues.
- Hands-on individual used to be the "owner" of accounts contents and understanding.
- Demonstrated VAT/tax capabilities as well as statutory returns experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
