Our function aims to improve the control environment and internal controls within SMR. Your mission
In this position, you provide expertise in governance and the internal control environment – taking the lead in bringing the Internal control process to new levels in terms of quality and automation. Taking our Internal control process to new levels and open up for new ways of working, we’re implementing SAP / S4 Hana across our entities. In this role, you lead a highly motivated and competent team of three Financial Compliance Regional Controllers (FCRC). You also support a region on your own – Asia and Australia – with all Internal control requirements by advising that correct procedures and protocols are being followed across entities in the region. You proactively track and understand changes in the Sandvik business environment, and effectively and timely adopt internal control plans to meet new requirements. Your responsibilities also include:
Providing guidance in the design of new processes – ensuring efficient and effective controls are built into the Internal Control process.
Planning and integration of acquired businesses into the IC platform.
Supporting the regional organization with continuous change management processes to shape behaviors and attitudes to reach a tighter control environment.
Performing quality reviews of entity documentation in the Bwise tool and scoped entities detailed reviews.
Assisting Business Area Finance in various initiatives, such as new IFRS standards, controls automation in SAP/ S4 Hana, Segregation of Duties, Balance Sheet reviews, and developing of the IC framework.

You report to the Director of Financial Control and travel is a natural part of your job. We prefer to see you stationed at our headquarter in central Stockholm, Sweden, Brisbane, Australia or Pune, India. However, other Sandvik sites can also be an option.
Your character
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in accounting, finance or administration related jobs with a high focus on internal and external audit, internal control or financial control. You have good business understanding, a strong project management and communication skills in diverse cultural work groups – together with an analytical mind and proven experience in internal control. Preferably, you also have a background in Engineering or Manufacturing, and you have qualifications within the relevant fields for this position. Acting in a global environment calls for fluency in both verbal and written English.
Your personality is what makes the difference and you’re structured with a service-minded attitude. Working well independently you also highly value team collaborations and you lead your team with your expertise combined with a high degree of empathy. You identify yourself as a good communicator who enjoys advising others around finance.
