Financial Controller, Accounting, Tax and Payment - Volvo Mobility

The rise of the sharing economy, urbanization, a growing concern for the environment and improvements in technology (IOT) have all spurred the question: is there a better way to get around? This has triggered brands and cities to develop technologies and services that offer more convenient, efficient, and flexible ways to travel. Now that people have the choice, car sharing is literally exploding in number of users around the world. From only 350.000 in 2006, the number of car sharing users is expected to exceed 23 million in 2024.

This backdrop from which Volvo Cars has decided to launch a new global multiservice mobility venture. Volvo Cars has 20-30 years of experience in car sharing (Sunfleet) and Rental (Hertz) and the new venture will be able to draw from a vast base of experience.

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the team that now, based in Stockholm, will build the new company and globalize and scale the multiservice mobility offer for customers in many markets. Our new business will be 100% digitalized; starting from the customer and working ourselves backwards. Our future success lies in our ability to utilize technology to our advantage and develop an offer that is responding to real customer needs. This is a fast-up, and will develop the solutions ourselves. We will be act and work independent from our owner Volvo Cars, most likely under a separate brand name, but with the back-up and support of a progressive and experienced global actor.

We are looking for a small, able, growth minded team. We need experience and energy to develop a fully equipped new brand and operational model for pilots and later, global roll out. We are looking for a financial controller!

In this position you are responsible for all financial controlling activities related to accounting, tax and payment in Volvo Mobility. The position is based at the headquarters in Stockholm and reports to Head of Finance / Deputy CFO.

Key accountabilities:
* Drive the annual budget process and secure all related items to be fully aligned with the company’s plans.
* Follow up the Cost Centers monthly and YTD performance vs Budget.
* Implement improvements in the financial reporting and accounting processes, and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
* Responsible for financing and treasury activities such as handling cash flows, credit lines and foreign exchanges.
* Support the day to day department operation. Including maintaining all necessary reporting to the banks and backup system reports and maintaining the company bank balance.
* Responsible for payments and investigating potential payment solutions together with Product Development.

Qualifications
* Preferably holds a Bachelor of Economics or equivalent
* 5+ years of relevant experience from accounting

You are curious and eager to learn and explore with a growth mindset. You have high level of integrity as well as high levels of teamwork.
