Financial Controller to Talentech group (Oslo/Stockholm)

About the role 

To support our growth, we are now looking for a group financial controller to join our team. As a Group Financial Controller, you will play an important role in enabling us to achieve our ambitions for Talentech. This is a perfect opportunity for a central position in a fast-paced tech-company.   

As a Financial Controller at Talentech you will have the overall responsibility of managing the company’s finances, accounting teams and operations, the group consolidation process including reconciliation & controls, cash flows, group eliminations and accounting.  

The finance team consists of eight people and is distributed to have local representation at our different offices. In this role you will get the opportunity to work closely with our group CFO as well as our local finance managers. Together, the finance team is responsible for Talentech Groups financial accounting and reporting, as well as our systems in the area. 

The position may be based at HQ in Oslo or at our Stockholm office, and reports to the company’s CFO. Some international travel should be expected.  

Key Responsibilities: 


• Group consolidation  
• Reporting to owners, executive management team and other stakeholders 
• Performance of financial control and business control procedures and activities 
• Coordination for a smooth closing process for the entities 


• Monthly and annual closing process including consolidation 
• Maintenance and development of group accounting principles and financial controlling and business controlling procedures 
• Follow up of the accounting service contract (coordinate and facilitate) 
• Maintenance and development of reporting tools 
• Follow up of tax and accounting issues related to holding structure, projects, and operations  

  

Qualifications: 

To thrive and be successful in your role, you need to be a self-motivated problem solver who likes to take your own initiatives. You are analytically inclined and as a person you can switch between working in a group and working independently. You are not afraid to take on new tasks of a different nature as well as having the ability to be responsible for activities and can lead both yourself and others.  

To be a fit in this role we think that you have a solid background with a Master’s degree and around three years of experience from either audit, consulting, group accounting or controlling. 

Other qualifications: 


• Controlling and financial reporting: Sound and relevant experience from audit, finance or accounting services 
• Solid financial understanding of (any Scandinavian) GAAP and IFRS 
• Broad business understanding and great analytical skills 
• Excellent communicative skills, speak and write English and a Scandinavian language effortlessly at a high level 
• Excellent skills in excel
