Financial Developer, P/L - Common Development

Job description We are currently looking for a financial application developer specialized in Profit/Loss to join the Common Development team of our Product Development department. The group currently consists of 10 senior developers and architects responsible for core components, as well as technical and functional cross-asset class aspects of our FRONT ARENA product for sales, trading and risk management. As a member of this team you will be working with Profit/Loss related design, development, maintenance and internal support, both in the applications themselves and in the financial core of the system. You will do so in co-operation with our financial architects, but also to a large extent together with colleagues from the different application development teams which are focused on specific business areas such as Equity, Credit, Fixed Income, etc. Qualifications Suitable applicants for this position will show a strong academic background coupled with an interest in one or both of financial theory and computer science. FRONT ARENA covers front-office to back-office in most asset classes, so experience of financial products and of mathematical methods such as stochastic calculus is an advantage. You need to have some experience of C/C++ programming and be familiar with basic software development concepts like client/server, object oriented programming, etc. Thoroughness and a willingness to learn are of great importance, as well as an ability to focus on quality and results. In addition, you need to possess strong skills in the areas of analytics, communication in English and interpersonal relations.
