Firmware/Hardware engineer

As we see an increasing number of development projects in cooperation with our customers we need to reinforce our work team with a firmware/hardware engineer.In this position you will be a part of our innovative development team and help us to develop Condition Monitoring products of the future.We can offer a challenging work in a global environment with a compliance driven culture.Key responsibilities . Firmware development and maintenance .Hardware design/development . Test procedures . Testing and validation . Documentation . Manuals and technical specifications Qualifications .University degree in computer science/electrical engineering or equivalent . Experience in embedded systems preferred . Experience in safety certification (SIL) preferred . Proven track record of delivering on commitments preferred . Ability to work individually and as part of a team . Customer focused . Good organisational skills . Ability to work in a multi cultural environment . Fluent in English both written and spoken.Additional languages preferred.This position is located in Luleå, Sweden.SKF Condition Monitoring Center Luleå is a product center within SKF Reliability Systems Business Units, Service Division.We are the Center of Excellence for On-line Condition Monitoring within SKF.We produce and support products for On-Line Condition Monitoring being used at a great variety of applications, such as Wind Energy, Railway, Pulp & Paper, Steel, Mining etc.In some applications safety and reliability requirements are very high.
