With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 6 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 75 members of staff in 5 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

We are offering an exciting opportunity as a Product Developer for Footwear at our Gothenburg HQ. When working with us you can expect working with great colleagues in a rapidly expanding fashion company, where every day brings it unique challenges and possibilities.

We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking Product Developer to be a part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate it is self-going, structured and organised, with a good sense for commercial yet interesting products.

You will work in close collaboration with the Product Manager, Designer and Creative Director. Interacting with colleagues in all other departments throughout the company is also expected. We are looking for you who consider yourself to be a collaborative and openminded individual with a strong interest in fashion and who wants to grow with us, long term.

JOB DESCIPTION

Follow creation process from design hand-over to final sample in partnership with Footwear technicians and suppliers with an emphasis on quality product development and timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the seasonal calendar.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Designers, Technicians, Quality Control, Operations and suppliers in order to ensure product success.

Follow the changes in design from the initial sample to the final product and keep all corresponding data up to date and all relevant teams informed.

Recommend product enhancements, construction and material options geared at elevating our brands and hitting financial requirements.

Sampel handling and trackning of shipments.

Monitors and reviews prototypes and market samples to ensure faithful execution to spec as well as meets materials, quality, execution, and construction standards. Provides feedback and information to factories to make necessary changes clear and organized. Create and update specs.

Review and communicate style and material minimums, material costs, and lead times with design, production, and merchandising.

Keeping track and inform about costs for both development and product cost.

Assists in assortment planning together with designer and product manager.

Sources alternate manufacturers and material suppliers to provide options in materials, products, and techniques.

Work closely with the designers to ensure timely turnover of development, prototypes, and market samples and placement of final production.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Min. 3 years experience in the footwear industry.

Experience with footwear and knowledge of construction is a must.

Excellent English communication skills. Portuguese is a plus.

This position is located in our Headquarter in Gothenburg, Sweden - applications in english.
