Commercial Operations is a small yet important stakeholder within Vestas – the key role is to forecast the business’s sales volumes and sales activities. Commercial Operations maintain the sales process, customer relations management system and resource planning system for the entire region. We own the governance of the sales pipeline and run weekly meetings where sales projects are reviewed and management is informed on the progress, forecasts and focus areas.

We are looking for a highly commercially focused Forecasting Business Controller to work within our Commercial team who are key stakeholders within the Vestas organisation. This role is based in Malmo and will be an office-based role.

We need someone reliable, service-minded and gracious when working with customers and stakeholders. We actively monitor and work to improve CRM data quality and take pride in being the best in class in Vestas.
In 2021 we look to increase focus on all areas to improve existing tools and processes as well as preparing ourselves for the future, in which we will continue to grow fast. You will be strengthening Commercial Operations in all areas, with a special emphasis on the Forecasting and the development to make it integrated in daily or regular operations. We forecast on Month, Quarter, Year, 3 year and 5 year horizons via collaboration with the sales areas. With your help we will improve our forecasting processes and quality.

Responsibilities will include improving and develop forecasting process - 1 month to 5 years horizon, monitoring and tracking forecasting accuracy on short term as well as medium term, and contribute to improvement of the same the forecast reporting for the region; answer questions on forecast, ie what we believe we will make by end of month, quarter, year etc.
And as team member you will contribute to:
Maintain and improve the sales process and tools
Monitor and pursue system data quality, and contribute to improvement of the same
Prepare Gate governance meetings (internal steps of maturing a project)
CRM ambassador - the one to turn to when issues or questions on our CRM system (SAP Cloud for Customer and soon Salesforce)
Train new employees on the CRM platform; Train new users and coach any user on sales project planning platform (Smartsheet)

We require someone highly reliable and goal oriented, with a motivated and analytical approach in your daily work.
Your networking and communication skills are professional. You are reliable, service-minded and gracious working with customers and stakeholders.
You have a structured and detail-oriented approach to your assignments.
You thrive in a innovative and exciting multi-cultural work environment.
You have good IT skills (Excel incl VBA and Analysis, SAP Project Builder, Salesforce, Sharepoint with Power Automate)

Ideally the successful candidate will have a Master's degree in engineering, business, economics or similar, with excellent grades. Please make sure you include your expected or confirmed result in your application. In addition, we are looking for the following:
Relevant work experience from sales or commercial positions is an advantage.
Forecasting experience
Fluency in written and verbal English.
Excellent Excel skills
Smartsheet experience, or other (sales) project planning tool experience
CRM system implementations experience

This role is based in Malmo and will be an office-based role
