We at Outokumpu in Avesta are looking for a Warehouse Manager to balance our modern equipment with maintenance needs and our world-class steel production. As a Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of 8 through the day-to-day activities and in pursuing long-term targets. There is close collaboration with other functions including Maintenance, Production, Procurement, and Masterdata.
In this role, you will be the link between the demand from the organization and the function of the Warehouse facilities and resources. You will be challenged to understand how Outokumpu’s maintenance processes work and to adapt your department’s methods accordingly. You will be working with continuous improvement projects on a departmental, site- and organization-wide level. Outokumpu has very high safety standards, so you will dedicate time to developing your processes and methods in a safe and sustainable way.
This role is located in Avesta and you will be reporting to General Maintenance Manager.

Your role
Development of the Warehouse organization and work methods
Ensure the right competencies in your team and optimal utilization of your personnel
Monitor and improve processes for repairing and purchasing equipment
Act as a link between our Production and the Warehouse department
Set departmental KPIs and lead your team in pursuit of reaching those targets
Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects in your department, Avesta Works, and Outokumpu at large

Further qualifications:
Education in a relevant field such as engineering, material science, logistics or equivalent industry experience
Experience working with maintenance, manufacturing, or warehousing is meriting
Fluency in Swedish and English languages is required
Strong leadership qualities and aspirations
Lean/Six Sigma training is highly meriting
