Frontend Engineer

What you'll do with us

The mission of the SDK Web team at Tink is to make the developer journey as easy and seamless as possible for our partners. As well as creating a best in class user experience for the end users of the product. The core product for this team is our front-end SDK for end-user authentication and payment initiation. This product is called Tink Link (https://demo.tink.com/). Tink Link is a product that is used by hundreds of clients and reaching around half a million unique users every month. Using Tink Link provides you with access to over 2,500 banks and gives your users a friction-free authentication process, all with a single line of code.

Tink Link is a React app developed in TypeScript. The Web SDK team is responsible for the Tink Link service, both in frontend and also on the backend side. Tinks' backend service is built in Java and Go. Basic knowledge in backend development is a great plus, but not a requirement for this role.

You are interested in developing, releasing and maintaining high performant code and having a constant desire to learn more, improve and take the product to the next level.

You pay great attention to details and are well aware that both the user experience and the code behind it needs to be at the highest level to achieve a great product.

Required qualifications

- At least 2 years minimum of experience of writing, releasing, maintaining web applications
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with modern web application development in React
- A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things higher
- Experience with methods for managing application state, such as Redux, Reflux, Flux or similar
- Ability to recognize and implement modern product design
- Experience of working closely with product teams, designers and other developers to create a truly delightful web experience


Preferred qualifications

- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience working with backend development using Java, Go, C++ or similar
- Experience in working with Kubernetes
- You have some open source projects to contribute to the wider community
- Have previously worked with SDKs


Your future team

The SDK Web team is a small team with frontend engineers, one product designer, one product manager and one engineering manager. The team is working closely together in weekly sprints. Collaboration is an important part of this team. Every week the engineers are doing mob programming sessions together to solve problems and share knowledge in the team. The team is fast in shipping new features and updates and every Friday there is a demo session together with the SDK Mobile team to share the knowledge between the different platforms.
