Location: Stockholm Job Description Back Office handling is a necessity for a Trading system.Efficient, correct and automated handling of Back Office related tasks increases the profitability of a system investment as it diminishes the need for manual intervention.The Back Office area comprises three major components: Sub ledger handling with integration to General ledger systems; Confirmation handling with integration to confirmation processing and Settlement handling with integration to settlement processing systems.Accurate handling of tasks in all of these areas is of major concern to the end-user of the system.As a Functional Analyst in the Back Office area, you will be working within the development team writing requirement specifications, assist developers when developing according to specifications and verify developed functionality.You will also work with the Product Manager and translate market and customer requirements into software specifications.Your main area of responsibility will be accounting.You will be part of the Product Development department which is responsible for developing, packaging, testing, and documenting our world-class FRONT ARENA product.We work in small development teams consisting of around 10 persons and you will be part of the Back Office team.Your work will be performed in Stockholm and done in close contact with your colleagues and our customers, domestic as well as international.Skills and Qualifications We are looking for candidates who possess a solid academic background in the areas of software engineering or finance.You should also have: . at least 2 years of experience working with back office at a bank or financial institution having participated in the installation or upgrading of back office solution . or have worked at least 2 years for a major software vendor providing back office solutions for a complete range of financial products. Suitable applicants for this position will show: . academic merits . experience of using a back-office system like FRONT ARENA or alike . deep knowledge about accounting . knowledge around all back-office areas like settlement, confirmation and SWIFT . possession of strong skills in the areas of analytics, communication in English and interpersonal relations.
