Are you our new Functional Safety Manager?

Arriver™ is a new software unit and brand, fully focused on developing perception, fusion and drive policy software for the next generation cars. It will deliver an open, scalable and flexible architecture solution running on Qualcomm® Snapdragon Ride™ System on a Chip (SoC) platform. Arriver™ has 800 people in five countries - China, Germany, Romania, Sweden, USA - and builds on more than a decade of experience in active safety software development. The company is wholly owned by Veoneer.

In Sweden we are situated in Linkoping, Stockholm and Gothenburg with around 400 colleagues.

What you'll do?

As a Functional Safety Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, develop and track the implementation of Functional and Technical Safety Concepts for ADAS solutions, from specification to validation
- Conducts tasks in scope of ISO26262 within the projects / areas / features / teams

- Creation and presentation of ISO26262 work packages
- Maintain safety plan and monitor progress of safety related activities
- Communication of FuSa related topics (internal: Project / Management | external: Customer / Supplier) Support of FuSa related RfQ activities
- Ensures the compliance to ISO26262

- Reporting status of Functional Safety of the respective area(s) as well as anomalies and escalation of risks Identifies systemic weaknesses and collaborates with the process owner
- Conduct and support safety relevant analysis (e.g. FTA, DFA, FMEA)


What you'll bring:

To succeed in this position, we think you have:

- Technical Degree (Electronics, Computer Sciences, Automotive Engineering or comparable)
- Min 3-5 years of experience in the development of embedded control units or embedded SW development, ideally in the field of safety
- Expert knowledge and understanding of ISO26262
- Knowledge and experience in the development of ECUs for the automotive industry
- Knowledge in ASPICE, safety analyses and requirements management
- Experience in automotive or other safety related industries (e.g. aviation)
- Expertise in creating safety concepts and technical safety requirements
- Expertise in safety analysis such as: FMEA and FTA
- Strong analytical skills and structured way of working
- Enthusiasm for automotive development, technical innovations and functional safety
- Flexibility and self-directed initiative
- Good writing, reading and speaking English skills
- Local language - ideally at least basic knowledge
