Gear Development Engineer
Engineering is a global function which works in an international context. The environment in your workplace will be dynamic and creative. The key responsibility of this role is gear development for various automotive and commercial applications, close work with other departments to specify requirements, quality assurance and performance levels.

Key duties
- Competitive benchmarking activities for development and manufacturing of gears.
- The team is responsible for virtual transmission modeling and analysis in fields of Gear Development, FEA and NVH. This role has a focus in Gear Development, systematically separating and balancing design parameters considering NVH, Durability and Efficiency.
- Parametric and sensitivity gear design and rating studies.
- Review and approval of gear prototypes and production design as well as specifications.
- Participation in customer meetings and drafting of detailed technical reports and technical presentations.
- Assistance for production facilities with troubleshooting manufacturing issues and supporting other departments with correlation studies.
- Conduction of root cause analysis to review gear application and recommendation of technical solutions.
- Domestic and international travelling is required for participating in customer meetings, education etc.


Requirement profile
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, engineering physics or related field of study.
- Advanced technical understanding of mechanical components and engineering processes.
- Experience of gear engineering and gear manufacturing design, analysis, procedures, tolerances.
- Experience in FEM.
- Competence using various gear industry / design related software.
- Experience from automotive industry is favourable, but not required. Experience in transmission engineering, machine or tool industry for cutting processing is positive.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. German and Swedish language skills are favourable, but not required.

It is of importance that you are socially skilled, but also have firm negotiation skills and high self reliability. You are trustworthy and able to carry through your decisions to ensure that procedures runs smoothly. You are dedicated to your role, good at prioritizing your work and keeping deadlines. Furthermore, you are a quick learner who always aspires to expand your knowledge.
