Job Summary
The general ledger accounting for Sweden will be concentrated in the SBE-SSC in Almere. The accountant will be responsible for the accounting and reporting and the month-end closing activities regarding balance sheet and profit and loss accounts under US GAAP/IFRS. The accountant will be part of the international accounting team within the SSC.
Correct and timely accounting in SAP, based upon information obtained from the operating units.
Monitoring and review of automated postings from the fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, costing and inventory sub ledgers into the general ledger of SAP
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Provide analysis to explain the monthly results to management and other SSC clients
Coordinate & review reconciliations on a monthly basis with Plant or Site Controller
Preparation of data for the external accountants year-end or interim audits
Preparation and assurance of compliance with statutory, legal and tax requirements
Preparation and review of the accruals with the Plant or Site Controller
Monitor the intercompany process and the reconciliation of the balances
Monitor the quality of information and integrity of the sub ledgers within SAP
Ensures compliance with financial policies and internal controls
Ensures compliance with statutory, legal and tax requirements for the UK
Ensures that the books are kept under Swedish GAAP, US GAAP & IFRS
Prepares and review with the Plant or Site Controller the tax, VAT & Intra stat filings
Supports local tax audits and statutory government audits
Support ad hoc projects on indication of SSC management

Experience:
Experience with SAP
Experience maintaining a Swedish administration in GAAP in a remote environment
Master or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Economics
International Shared Services Experience
Knowledge:
Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent
Knowledge US GAAP and IFRS
Proficient in English is essential
Native Swedish language skills
