The Total vehicle geometry (TVG) section has the responsibility for geometry assurance within Volvo Cars Manufacturing. The responsibility is for all plants worldwide. Therefore the organisation is very flexible and multicultural and we are all together 190 employees, where 50 are located in Olofström. At the unit here at Volvo Cars Body Components (VCBC) in Olofström we have the responsibility for geometry assurance of all delivery units which are produced here at VCBC. We are the main supplier of sheet metal parts at Volvo. We produce about 50 million parts per year supplying all Volvo models. Geometry has a vital role of the quality of the car therefore TVG has a very important function to assure that Volvo Car Group delivers top quality products.

As Geometry Assurance Engineer you will be part of the transition in order to fulfill our vision for 2020.

You will work together with a small group in Manufacturing with both research engineers and application engineers. We work together with many functions in the Volvo organisation e.g. the pre-matching group, production and new car projects. Main responsibilities

* Ensure that the "right" Reference & Requirement is carried out in consultation with engineering teams
* Do analysis together with pre-matching team of new and existing processes
* Prepare and develop needs for control equipment and measuring program
* Monitor and analyze results of product outcomes and actions during the project phase
* Approve the geometry results from buy off of the tools from the vendor
* Approve geometry results from home line try out and confirm the outcome together with the customer

Required qualifications

* Last B.Sc. grade within mechanical engineering, or a corresponding work experience which are related to the work
* Project Management skills
* Ability to present results and methods
* English, written and spoken
* Driver's license
* Experience of the automotive industry is meritorious
