Global Category Buyer

As a Global Category Buyer at FlexLink, you are responsible for creating, managing and developing your assigned category, where you are also commercially responsible towards your suppliers. We are looking for a person who can work and plan his/her job independently and make the right decisions that are in line with both department and company strategy, based on input from data and own analysis. Since it is important to be able to establish and manage relations with many stakeholders, it is highly valued if you have good communication and leadership skills.
This is what you will do
As part of the purchasing department at FlexLink, you play an important role in the delivery of our solutions to our customers. You will be part of an experienced team that, although having individual responsibilities, work together by sharing methodology and best practices to help each other achieve our targets.
You will be based in our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. Some travel will be required in this role.
Main activities and responsibilities
Creating, managing and developing the execution of strategic sourcing plans connected to your assigned category
Preparation, distribution and evaluation of RFQs for the Flexlink products belonging to your category
Negotiate general sourcing-related terms as well as frame purchasing agreements
Participate and contribute to supplier performance reviews
Participate in and contribute to new product development projects
Act as a link between the Supply Chain and our Technology and Innovation organization
Maintain and distribute data in the company PLM and ERP (SAP) to some extent

This is you
We are looking for you who have experience in strategic sourcing (direct material) or a similar area, preferably within a technical field. You are a proactive and goal-oriented individual with strong communication and negotiation skills. Your outgoing personality helps you build lasting business relations. Your success will also depend on your drive, analytical skills and strategic thinking. Sound knowledge and understanding of purchasing tools and processes as well as ERP systems, preferably SAP, is an advantage, but not a must.
Required skills
University degree (Bachelor's or Master's), preferably within engineering or business
5+ years of relevant working experience
Very good Microsoft Office Package knowledge, especially Excel and Powerpoint
Fluency in English, written and spoken
