Join our team at Driveline & Hybrids to develop transmission solutions for future heavy-duty commercial vehicles within the Volvo Group. Together with other engineers in Gothenburg and around the world, you and your colleagues will create innovative driveline systems that improve both the driving experience and productivity for our customers.
The Driveline and Hybrids department in Gothenburg is responsible for the development of gearboxes and hybrid systems for trucks and buses within the Volvo Group. The Auxiliary Components team is responsible for clutches, gearshifting components (i.e. gearshift units, shift levers, forks etc.), retarders and PTO's to all in-house transmissions, including both manual SMT and automatic AMT gearboxes.

Purpose and contents of the role:
As GCR, you play a key role in the development of the clutch and clutch actuation technology area and will work in close cooperation with system engineers, test engineers and simulation engineers. For your components, you will be responsible for:
- Contribute to the development of new solutions and technologies
- Participate and support in product maintenance activities
- Plan and perform release of technical documentation

Qualifications:
- M.Sc. degree
- Good knowledge in the field of mechanical and automotive engineering, such as mechanics, machine elements etc.
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and decide
- The candidate needs to be fluent in English, preferably also in Swedish.
- Team and cross functional work abilities
- Analytical mind set

Travel:
The position will include occasional travelling within our global organization and to external suppliers.
