Global Customer Services Engineer Transmode is one of the world's fastest growing telecommunications companies providing CWDM and DWDM based optical solutions to over 150 telecommunications operators, cable/multi-service operators, internet service providers, utility companies, financial institutions and industrial organizations.www.transmode.se Transmode Systems is offering a comprehensive number of services in order to support our Customers and their transmission networks.All Services are grouped under Transmode Customer Services and we are currently expanding our business.The Technical Assistance Services aiming towards the support of an installed and in-service network in terms of technical assistance, different hardware related services as well as on-site technical support.PROFILE There is currently an opening for a person within Transmode Customer Services that shall work with Technical Assistance within our Technical Assistance Center primarily and Training and Implementation Services, secondarily.The job is very much customer oriented where the overall goal is to satisfy our customers and enhance our service level towards our Customers.Our customers are mainly based in Europe but also overseas Customers are dependent on professional and adequate services to be supplied. The Customer Services engineer will mainly be working in the TAC team which is part of Transmode Customer Services.This responsibility includes: - Logging of support incidents in call-tracking database and ensuring all data is complete and accurate.- Troubleshooting and resolving customer product/network problems, using On-line data services wherever possible, and other resources wherever possible.Dial in to customer site to assist wherever appropriate.- Reproducing new or undocumented customer problems in a lab environment and providing evidence of findings to Escalation Support or Development Engineering, as appropriate.- Keep up to date on all relevant technologies and products.Commitment to self-development.- Participate in operational Customer meetings.The appointment requires traveling occasionally, mainly in Europe, and fluent spoken and written Swedish and English are mandatory.The position is based at Transmode HQ in Stockholm.The CSE position will imply on-call responsibilities on regular basis.It would be beneficial if the candidate of this job would have experience from networking business in the area of optical transmission, SAN, or WAN .From an educational perspective the background of the candidate is within Datacom or Telecom where in particular IP/Ethernet, SDH as well as UNIX knowledge is advantageous.Documented networking skills such as Cisco certifications are appreciated.
