Global Durability Engineer, Features Verification & Validation
Are you interested in working with Durability verification and validation on a wide range of Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks? We are looking for an inspiring leader, with a positive mind set and interest in developing the Durability area. As Global Durability


Leader you will:
Lead and drive new and changed way of working through the Community of Practise (CoP), with highly skilled Durability Feature Engineers, with support from Durability Manager Network.
Be responsible for continuously develop efficient test methods based on ALT/HALT according to acquired customer application knowledge for Heavy Duty trucks and Medium duty trucks.
Develop test methods for verification and validation of components, systems and the complete vehicle in close collaboration with design departments and other CoP’s
Lead the identification of the most demanding application from a platform perspective with a perform the “right” test mind-set.
Ensure proper data collection and data collection methods are used.
Work with the Platform Durability Engineers and Product & IB Managers to develop an optimized platform Verification & Validation plan (V&V) with applied risk management process.
Secure maximized front loading of activities with the purpose of shortening lead times.
Develop a global investment plan which will maximize the utilization of test equipment and ensure necessary tools to support product deliverables
Enabling knowledge capturing and reuse

 Qualifications
MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
Extensive experience of Physical testing based on ALT/HALT, test to fail techniques in order to understand the design life (working knowledge of DOE a plus)
Extensive Design experience
Extensive experience from virtual simulation (structural, vibrational, temperature etc) and analysis
Experience of measurement techniques in order to correlate test tracks, test rigs and FEA based on real customer usage
Experience from working with suppliers and requirement setting of components and systems
Experience in using quality tools e.g FMEA, FTA to identify different failure modes and mitigation actions 
Experience with data analysis a plus
Leadership experience
Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
