We are now seeking for a: Specialist within Electrical and Electronics Hardware for Global Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Volvo 3P. Reporting to group manager dept. 26323. Tasks and Responsibilities: The core responsibility of this role is to act as the global specialist for Electrical & Electronics HW meaning to act as the expert within the area of competence and actively drive the Volvo core values and act according to the Volvo way. As the specialist you will focus on supporting colleagues in activities, such as D-FMEA, supplier selection, technical reviews, risk assessments and to give recommendations regarding design and deviations. You will develop strategies related to your area of expertise and drive the development towards these defined strategies. You will continuously, within your area of competence, develop and train colleagues within the global organization as well as actively work to file patents and participate in/drive Advanced Engineering tasks. Essential to this role is also knowledge in electronics production processes, as you will work to support in reviewing supplier development processes. To remain updated and knowledged you will participate in national and international seminars and be the core member in related Volvo fora. Profile: You have an open and positive attitude, you are goal oriented, flexible and able to communicate You have a burning interest of the technology area and you should be able to work on your own as well in a group/network in an equal manner The job is dependent of a good network within and outside the company, therefore your ability to communicate in English and to work with persons in different areas in a global multi-cultural environment is essential Qualification: As our preferred candidate, you have: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering Minimum 6 years of relevant experience Process and production knowledge and experience Extensive electronics design/requirement setting competence is a must Very good knowledge in written and spoken English Participated in Advanced Engineering activities Proven capabilities of reaching results Shown willingness to share knowledge Experience from the automotive industry is a merit The position will be located in Gothenburg. Some travel expected.
