Global Inventory and Supply Planner for Tools

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik Coromant is looking for an experienced, organized, networking, and self-motivated Global Inventory and Supply Planner to join the planning team for Tools. We’re in an exciting transformation cycle – where analytics and development are key elements and new ways of working shape the future.
Joining our Planning team in Sandviken, we offer you a unique opportunity to be part of a journey to further develop a new planning platform – SAP IBP for Supply Chain. Are you eager to influence our planning processes, optimize our ways of working and establish broad networks across the globe? Then this is the job for you!
About the job
In this position, your mission is to provide us with important insights, accurate information, and fact-based reports to support decision-making when it comes to planning, inventory, and supply. Performing investigations and studies, you drive different development activities and projects that support us in creating a leaner, more efficient global supply chain. By monitoring and optimizing global stock in our distribution center network, you ensure best-in-class stock control and inventory levels of our products and are a key player in delivering plans and scenarios for short and mid-term time horizons.
You also act as the main point of contact for our manufacturing units regarding supply planning, systems, processes as well as other issues related to our products. You offer your competent support in planning, setting, and agreeing on reliable production plans, and help us remain successful by taking an active role in the work to improve Net Working Capital and service through stock availability.
By planning and following up on inventory and supplier volume on an 18-month rolling time horizon, you find ways to optimize our supply paths in collaboration with other parts of the organization. Furthermore, you support the handling of our products' life cycles and footprint changes within the planning area, which includes scenarios for ramp-ups, introductions, and phase-outs of our products. In collaboration with the rest of the team, you use your knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm to take part in the continuous improvement work around Supply Chain Planning and contribute to developing our next generation planning solutions based on our new platform.
You’re seated in Sandviken, and we offer great flexibility when it comes to working remotely. Some global travel is normally included in the job.

Your profile
We’re looking for a Supply Chain professional with hands-on experience in supply chain and S&OP planning, as well as materials management and inventory control. We believe you have experience of working in a similar environment. An additional background from leading projects within change management as well as experience from digitalization projects within supply chain is also desirable. You further know how to handle different scenarios and changes within a supply chain, especially when it comes to lead time, EOQ and safety stocks.
Additionally, you’re an expert user of modern ERP systems and you manage Excel and Access comfortably. We believe that you hold a university degree in the supply chain or logistics area, and as we act on the global arena, you also need to be fluent in written and verbal English.
Your personality truly matters! Above having the ability to generate business value from repeating metrics and patterns, we genuinely appreciate your soft skills. You’re an outgoing and analytical person with a detailed and problem-solving approach, who is both skilled at and enjoys working with change management.
You’re resourceful and self-motivated with a high focus on time management. You’re also an appreciated team player – skilled at collaborating, connecting with people, and establishing new relations with people from diverse cultures. You know how to communicate and convey information in a clear way that your stakeholders can easily grasp. Add a solid passion for development and improvement – and you’re home – welcome to us!
